Combat Power on Display! TNI and Australian Forces Conclude Keris Woomera 2026 Joint Exercise

SITUBONDO – The strength and professionalism of Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) personnel alongside the Australian Defence Force (ADF) were on full display during the Combined Joint Live Fire Exercise (CJLFX), the culminating event of the 2026 Keris Woomera Joint Exercise, held at the T-12 Training Area in Situbondo, East Java, on Tuesday (October 20, 2026). Commander of Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya, Colonel Inf. Wahyu Ramadhanus Suryawan, S.Sos., M.M.S., M.Han., attended the event representing the Commander of Kodam V/Brawijaya.

Led by the Commander of the TNI Education and Training Command (Kodiklat TNI), the exercise demonstrated the integration of multiple combat elements, ranging from ground force maneuvers and artillery fire support to air strikes and troop landings. All elements operated within a joint operational scenario designed to test capabilities and strengthen coordination across military branches and between the two countries.

The Danrem stated that the 2026 Keris Woomera Joint Exercise represented a tangible demonstration of professionalism and solidarity between the TNI and its Australian defense partner. The CJLFX also served as an opportunity to test operational readiness and enhance the ability of both forces to operate effectively in an integrated joint operation.

According to the Danrem, the Marine Corps Combat Training Center 5 (Puslatpur Marinir 5) in Baluran and the T-12 training area in Situbondo play a strategic role as military training grounds. Korem 083/Bdj is committed to supporting the smooth and secure implementation of national and international military exercises within its territorial area of responsibility.

The exercise underscores that military professionalism is built on readiness, discipline, and the ability to work together. Cooperation between the TNI and the ADF is expected to further strengthen interoperability and defense relations between the two countries. ::::
