MALANG – Road safety begins with being fully prepared before operating a vehicle. This message was emphasized during the Safety Riding and Driving Campaign organized by Denpom V/3 Malang, which was attended by the Commander of Korem 083/Baladhika Jaya, Colonel Inf. Wahyu Ramadhanus Suryawan, S.Sos., M.M.S., M.Han., on Wednesday (September 16, 2026).

A total of 100 soldiers from various units in the Malang area participated in the campaign and received training on rider preparedness, vehicle roadworthiness, administrative requirements, and safe riding techniques.

Materials delivered by the Traffic Unit of Malang City Police emphasized three basic aspects that must be ensured before riding or driving: being ready personally, ensuring the vehicle is ready, and having complete documentation. These principles were reinforced by materials from relevant agencies covering first aid, traffic engineering, and vehicle safety.

The Korem commander emphasized that compliance with traffic regulations is an integral part of a soldier’s discipline and professionalism.

“Be soldiers who are disciplined in carrying out your duties, orderly in traffic, and always prioritize safety,” he said.

Following the briefing, participants practiced safety riding and driving techniques at Brawijaya Rampal Field. The activity was part of Korem 083/Bdj’s efforts, together with relevant stakeholders, to foster a consistent culture of traffic safety within the Indonesian Army.   :::
