Kodim 0820 and Disporapar Strengthen Youth Development Through Sports Facilities in Brabe
Probolinggo, Monday, May 11, 2026 – In support of the non-physical activities of the 128th TNI Manunggal Membangun Desa (TMMD) for Fiscal Year 2026, Kodim 0820/Probolinggo together with the Youth, Sports and Tourism Office (Disporapar) of Probolinggo Regency organized the distribution of sports equipment and facilities to the residents of Brabe Village, Maron District, Probolinggo Regency.
The activity, which started at 08:00 AM until completion, was held at Café Dam-8 in Brabe Village and was carried out with great enthusiasm from local residents.
Those attending the event included Maron Subdistrict Head Nurhafifah, S.P.I., M.AP., Head of Disporapar Probolinggo Regency Heri Mulyadi, S.STP., M.Si., Head of Destination and Tourism Industry Division Umi Subiyanti Ningsih, Head of Youth and Sports Division Umi Setyowati, Commander of Koramil 0820/21 Maron Captain Arh Murianto, S.T., M.M., Babinsa of Koramil 0820/21 Maron Sergeant Major Rustam Efendi, Brabe Village Head Sunardi, village officials, members of Brabe Village Youth Organization (Karang Taruna), and PKK cadres.
The event began with an opening ceremony, followed by the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, remarks from the Head of Disporapar Probolinggo Regency and the Commander of Koramil 0820/21 Maron, a joint prayer, and the handover of sports equipment assistance.
In his remarks, Head of Disporapar Probolinggo Regency Heri Mulyadi stated that the provision of sports facilities is a form of local government support to improve the quality of life of the community, especially village youth, so they can become more active, healthy, and productive.
“This activity not only supports community sports development, but also strengthens the potential of tourism villages and empowers youth through positive community organizations,” he said.
Meanwhile, Commander of Koramil 0820/21 Maron Captain Arh Murianto emphasized that TMMD non-physical activities play an important role in developing human resources and strengthening solidarity between the military, local government, and the community.
“We hope this sports equipment assistance can be utilized properly by the people of Brabe Village to increase positive activities and strengthen togetherness among residents,” he said.
The activity also featured discussions on several important topics related to the development of village tourism destinations, the establishment of Tourism Awareness Groups (Pokdarwis), the development of BUMDes Café Dam-8, as well as the requirements and mechanisms for forming Pokdarwis through Village Deliberation Meetings (Musdes).
The event became even livelier with a group exercise session involving Brabe Village residents, with all participants joining enthusiastically. At the end of the event, sports equipment and facilities were officially handed over to the community as a tangible form of support for increasing sports activities in the village. (***)
