Fisheries Technical Training in Brabe Village Supports Economic Growth Through TMMD 128
Probolinggo, Monday, May 11, 2026 – The Fisheries Department of Probolinggo Regency held a technical guidance session on catfish farming in Brabe Village, Maron District, Probolinggo Regency. The activity was part of the non-physical program of the 128th TMMD conducted by Kodim 0820 Probolinggo.
The training was attended by 25 participants, all residents of Brabe Village. The materials delivered covered hatchery techniques, pond maintenance, feeding management, and disease prevention and treatment for catfish.
The activity took place at the home of Mr. Son Haji, an official of the Fisheries Department in the Maron area. The location was chosen because it was considered strategic and adequate to accommodate the training participants.
Brabe Village Babinsa, Sergeant Major Rustam and Sergeant Sunarko, also accompanied the activity. Their presence aimed to ensure the training process ran smoothly and that participants could absorb the materials effectively.
“Through this technical guidance, we hope residents will gain catfish farming skills that can become an additional source of income,” said one of the Fisheries Department facilitators.
Participants appeared enthusiastic throughout the entire session. Hands-on field practice was also provided so that the knowledge gained could be immediately applied.
The 128th TMMD Task Force of Kodim 0820 Probolinggo fully supports this activity as part of efforts to improve human resources in the fisheries sector. This non-physical program is expected to provide sustainable economic benefits for the village community.
With this training, the task force is optimistic that Brabe Village residents will be able to independently develop catfish farming businesses. The activity serves as a tangible example of synergy between the TNI, local government, and the community in village development. (*)
